Definition of “Air Passenger Transportation Services”: This includes air passenger transportation for domestic travel. Passenger flights between the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands are included within this definition.

Eligible Class Members
If certified, eligible class members include all direct purchasers of airline tickets going to or from Boston Logan International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport from Defendants JetBlue Airways Corporation and American Airlines Group Inc. on or after July 15, 2020.

Case History
Since 2022, several class action lawsuits have been filed alleging the Defendants entered into a series of agreements in which they promised not to compete for scheduled commercial air passenger service at the predominant airports in the Northeast, which caused purchasers and/or passengers to pay increased costs for commercial air service in violation of federal antitrust laws. It is impossible to
predict the outcome, but money may become available to eligible class members if the class is certified and a settlement is reached with the Defendants in the future. FRS will update this Summary as the case progresses and new information becomes available.
