Defendants

The Defendants include:

The Defendants include: American Airlines, Inc. (or its predecessor, U.S. Airways Group) (“American”); Southwest Airlines Co. (“Southwest”); United Airlines, Inc. (“United”); and Delta Airlines, Inc. (“Delta”).

Case History

Several lawsuits were filed alleging that the Defendants participated in a conspiracy to fix, raise, maintain and/or stabilize the prices of Air Passenger Transportation Services within the United States and its territories in violation of federal antitrust laws. The class has now entered into settlements with Southwest ($15 million) and American ($45 million) in the aggregate amount of $60 million. The Southwest settlement (the class period ends on December 20, 2017 for the Southwest settlement) and American settlement received final approval at this time. The litigation is ongoing against United and Delta so it is possible that additional funds may become available to the class if any additional settlements are reached.
